Exeter's newest music offering, Party on the Pitch, opened to rave reviews by crowds who descended on Sandy Park Stadium last weekend.

Thousands headed to the home of Exeter Rugby Club for the opening two concerts, which transformed the stadium into a vibrant and pulsating hub of entertainment, attracting music enthusiasts from far and wide.

Headlining the first of four concerts the Devon venue will stage this month was charismatic Irish singer-songwriter Ronan Keating, who took the stage by storm, captivating the audience with his soulful voice, infectious energy, and a repertoire of his many chart-topping hits.

Highlights of the evening included breath-taking renditions of beloved tracks such as "When You Say Nothing at All," "Life is a Rollercoaster" and "No Matter What."

All that followed what was a brilliant opening concert, which also included live performances from boy bands East 17 and Blue.

Less than 24 hours later, the crowds were pouring back in for the second instalment of Party on the Pitch, which welcomed four different acts to the Westcountry.

Iconic British singer-songwriter, Rick Astley, known for his chart-topping hits and smooth vocals, brought an infectious energy and undeniable talent to the Exeter event, making it an unforgettable night for music lovers of all ages.

Throughout his set, Astley effortlessly showcased his vocal range and stage presence, delivering his beloved classics, such as: "Never Gonna Give You Up," "Together Forever," "Whenever You Need Somebody" and "Cry for Help."

Earlier in the day, the concert opened up with a brilliant performance from the Lottery Winners, followed by sets from The Coral and former X-factor contestant, Lucy Spraggan.

Party on the Pitch continues this weekend with concerts on both Saturday and Sunday.

Former X-factor winner Will Young headlines Saturday's event, where he will be supported by Natalie Imbruglia and Corinne Bailey-Rae; while on Sunday concertgoers will be royally entertained by headline acts Gabrielle and Soul II Soul, as well as support from The Real Thing.
